FlexTime GBA Officers

The Tepper School's FlexTime MBA program has been ranked the No. 1 part-time MBA program by BusinessWeek!

The FlexTime GBA exists for one simple purpose; to make the FlexTime program an even better program! The FlexTime GBA Officers act as a voice for the FlexTime, Part-Time MBA program to the administration, as well as the overall student body at Tepper. From scheduling social events to providing input on course selection, the FlexTime GBA works hard to enhance the entire FlexTime experience.


Amit Tacker, President

Amit was born in Canada but spent his high school years in New Delhi, India. He then moved to Ottawa, Canada to pursue Systems Engineering at Carleton University. After graduating, he spent the next two years working at a local mobile communications start-up and then moved to Philadelphia to work at Interdigital communications. Amit then decided it was time to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, so he moved back to New Delhi and led the Audio Visual Integration division of his family business, Tacker Technologies. At the same time, Amit kicked-off his own venture — Donut Factory — a mini donut/waffle franchise with three retails outlets across Delhi. In February 2013, Amit moved to Pittsburgh to pursue his MBA at the Tepper School and accepted the role of Lead Audio Visual Designer at Xerox.

Outside of work, Amit enjoys sharing his knowledge of Audio Visual and technology as Adjunct Faculty for Infocomm International. At the Tepper School, Amit is a member of the Tepper Consulting Club (TCC), Entrepreneurial and Venture Capital Club (EVC) and Net Impact. In his free time, Amit enjoys exploring new cuisines and cultures, and spending time with his wife, Shivali.



Robert F. Downey III, Vice-President

Robert is a native of Pittsburgh who attended Virginia Military Institute (VMI). While at VMI, Robert played rugby and was the team’s treasurer. In May 2005, he graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, Robert took a mechanical design position with GHT Limited in Virginia. In June 2007, Robert started working for Halliburton Energy Services in Laredo, Texas as a Technical Professional. In December 2008, Robert was transferred to Pittsburgh. In January 2012, he accepted his current role as technical advisor. Within the Tepper School, Robert is a member of several clubs and plays basketball with his classmates after class. In his free time, Robert loves watching or playing sports and spending time with his wife, Cristin, and their two boys, Robert IV and Finn.    



Simone Hollweck, Social Executive Officer

Simone holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, with a major in Marketing and Finance and a Certification in International Area Studies. Of her undergraduate degree, 18 months were earned at Franklin College, Switzerland, with a focus in International Marketing. Upon graduation, Simone joined the Bank of New York Mellon, where she has held Accounting and Financial Analyst roles for the Dreyfus Corporation. In addition to her Social Chair position, Simone is a member of the Tepper School Consulting Club, Pro-Bono Consulting Club and the Marketing Club. Outside of work, she engages in pro-bono consulting work for the Business Volunteers for the Arts and actively participates as an Administrator and Event Planner in social activities for the Pittsburgh Fine Drinking Society. She also enjoys reading, exploring the Pittsburgh restaurant and entertainment scene, and expanding her music collection.



Zachary Bush, Marketing Executive Officer

Zack is from the area and attended Pennsylvania State University. He was a Schreyer Scholar, and graduated in 2008 with a BS in Computer Science. After graduating, he began working at GE Transportation, developing embedded software for locomotive controls systems. At the start of 2014, he and a few friends founded Tailored Fit, a clothing recommendation and customer behavior analytics platform. He’s currently acting as the data science and software engineering lead. At the Tepper School, Zack is a member of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club, the Business and Technology Club and the Consulting Club, and plans to pursue concentrations in entrepreneurship, strategy, and quantitative analysis. In his free time, he enjoys traveling all over the world, exploring, and enjoying new experiences.



Lauren Moorhead, Admissions Executive Officer

Lauren was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She received a BS in Economics and Business from the University of Pittsburgh. As a part of her studies, she spent summers abroad studying economics and business in Hyderabad, India and Shanghai, China. After graduating, Lauren accepted a position at BNY Mellon Wealth Management. She currently works as a Team Leader in Client Support Services.



Aaron Basmajian, COC/Academics Executive Officer

Aaron received a BBA in Business Marketing, with minors in Music and Italian from James Madison University. After graduating, Aaron began his career in Richmond, Virginia, working as a Development Associate for a local nonprofit, and then transitioned into banking, working as an equity trader and options trader, and more recently as a derivatives and treasury analyst. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Aaron lived in Richmond, and spent much of his free time volunteering in the community, mountain biking and motorcycling. Since moving to Pittsburgh, Aaron volunteers for Pittsburgh Trail Advocacy Group as a board member and workday volunteer. At the Tepper School, Aaron is a member of Net Impact, ProBono Consulting and the Endurance Club, and plans to pursue concentrations in accounting, finance and strategy.



Craig Cuthbert, Alumni Relations Executive Officer

Craig was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2008 with a BS in Accounting. Upon graduating, he began his career at Deloitte in Cost Mesa, California. After earning his CPA license, he left the firm in order to pursue a business development opportunity with San Francisco-based Roger CPA Review. He helped Roger CPA Review grow on the east coast for two years before joining Caterpillar Inc. as a Business Analyst. Craig currently serves as the Internal Control Coordinator of CAT Global Mining America. In his free time, Craig loves to travel. He has visited over 35 states in the U.S. and over 20 countries.
