Board Member Bios


Sahaj Madhav, President

Sahaj Madhav is the President of the BioPharma & Healthcare Club. Sahaj graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining the Tepper School, he worked at Frito-Lay/PepsiCo in various managerial roles which covered S&D, Packaging, and Processing at the Frito-Lay manufacturing plant in Bakersfield, California. Sahaj is pursuing a concentration in Finance, Strategy, and Operations at the Tepper School of Business.


Betsy Harchick, VP of Events & Alumni Affairs

Betsy Harchick is the Vice President of Events, Alumni Affairs. She is also the Vice President of Finance for the Tepper Wine Club. Betsy completed a dual degree undergraduate program, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and bioengineering from Allegheny College and the University of Pittsburgh, respectively. Prior to Tepper, she worked as a biomedical research coordinator for a lab in the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, developing data analysis methods for MRI scans and managing research protocols.


Claude Ogoe, VP of Marketing

Claude Ogoe is the Vice President of Community Relations of the Tepper Soccer Club. He also serves on the board for the BioPharma & Healthcare Club as the Vice President of Marketing.
Claude graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry. Prior to Tepper, Claude worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in the Cancer Drug Discovery and Early Development Group, where he discovered a number of small molecule drug candidates. He is currently a co-author of peer-reviewed scientific papers as well as three patents. Claude is pursuing a concentration in marketing, operations, and strategy.


Kevin Gallagher, VP of Finance

Kevin graduated from Boston College, where he majored in Biochemistry with a minor in Economics. After graduation, he went to work for Professor Guillermo Tearney at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. While there, Kevin contributed to clinical studies in cardiology, gastroenterology and pulmonology. Of particular interest, Kevin worked on a team that demonstrated first in human experience with tethered capsule microscopy; work which was published in Nature Medicine in January, 2013. Kevin came to Tepper in order to better understand the decisions underlying the commercialization of new technologies and drug formulations. He is pursuing a concentration in strategy, finance, and operations in the MBA program.


Yiming Wang, VP of Intra-Campus Relations

Yiming is pursuing a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Management, an interdisciplinary program between the Tepper School of Business, the Heinz College of Public Policy & Management, and the Mellon College of Sciences. She holds a B.S. in Biological Science from Nanjing Agricultural University. Prior to attending Carnegie Mellon, Yiming spent four years working in life science research and healthcare project management, most recently at Ohio State University and American Cancer Society. Currently, she is interning with Pittsburgh Life Science Greenhouse, working closely with biotech start-ups on their business development initiatives. Outside of school, Yiming enjoys dance, squash, yoga, and traveling.
