Tepper School International Festival Celebrates Culture

 PITTSBURGH -- With an MBA student population representing more than 50 different cultures from around the world, the Tepper School of Business offers the perfect environment for global learning in a diverse setting. To complement this experience, MBA students have created the Tepper School International Festival, an annual celebration of cultures and heritage.  This year’s program will be held on the Carnegie Mellon University campus on Friday, March 30, 2012.

                  4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Performances (Weigand Gym- University Center)

                  6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Food Festival

                                                              - Posner Hall/GSIA Building Lobby (Food Festival)

 Characterized by dances, songs, skits, and a fashion show performed by members of the Tepper School community, the festival is an entertaining experience that consistently draws a large attendance from across campus and within the local community. The performances will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Weigand Gymnasium at the University Center. They may also be watched live online at the following link: International Festival Streaming Players or mobile: iOS (iPhone, iPad).  Both links will go live around 4 p.m.

 The food festival allows students to showcase their fluency in international cuisine while also creating displays that honor their rich individual cultures. The food festival will be held in the lobby and courtyard of the Posner Hall/GSIA building from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Students, faculty, staff and members of the Carnegie Mellon community are welcome to attend these programs.
