Students in the Tepper School of Business not only strive for academic excellence. They get involved in opportunities that give them teamwork and leadership experience.
Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) has consistently competed and won in the regional championships, and taken teams to national events. Undergraduate Marketing Organization (UMO) presented at the annual American Marketing Association (AMA) conference and won "Most Revitalized Chapter" in 2007! The Undergraduate Finance Association (UFA) hosts a networking event each summer to bring interns and alums working in New York together. A student committee plans and hosts the annual Business Opportunities Conference (BOC) each September, this year hopes to have over 50 companies on campus to recruit business undergraduates. Every year, Carnegie Mellon Business Association (CMBA) holds an etiquette dinner, a business fashion show and the Tepper Ball. With so many business organizations planning events, there is always an opportunity to get involved and obtain leadership experience.
Each year the department selects students to represent the Tepper School of Business at case competitions and conferences around the world. These opportunities have included traveling to California, Washington DC, New York, Georgia, Ohio, Qatar, Hong Kong, and Germany.
