For many years, CBI has been a proud sponsor of a study abroad experience for Tepper MBA students. Each spring since 2002, up to 35 students have travelled to Germany and Eastern Europe to take part in a 4-week program. CBI contributes $50,000 each year to subsidize the students' costs.
The program is based in Koblenz, Germany, in partnership with The Otto Beisheim School of Management (WHU). At WHU, Tepper students learn about the historical, political, and economic bases of the European Union (EU). In addition, the specific areas of finance, operations, marketing, and entrepreneurship are examined within the context of the EU. WHU coordinates the program in various cities in Germany and Eastern Europe by integrating university coursework with corporate and government visits in each city.
Dr. John Mather, head of masters program at the Tepper School, says, "This has become an integral component of our MBA program. And one of excellence concerning management and leadership in Europe. Our alums now recall and speak often of the experience. CBI's continued support and involvement makes that all happen."
