Executive Board Member Bios


David Macedonia, President

Dave grew up in Arlington, VA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2006. Prior to coming to Tepper, he was a Submarine Officer in the US Navy for seven years and served on the USS West Virginia (SSBN-736). During his time in the Navy he gained extensive experience in nuclear power generation, most notably as a Shift Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit in Goose Creek, SC. Dave is concentrating in Operations Management and Strategy and is pursuing opportunities in the upstream oil and gas industry. He will be working at Emerson Process Management’s Rosemount business this summer.



Bobby Petrini, VP of Oil & Gas 

Bobby Petrini grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh and graduated
from the University of Maryland. After graduation, Bobby worked as a
consultant at Deloitte Consulting in manufacturing strategy, post-merger integration, and business case development within the consumer products, industrial products, and aerospace and defense industries. Bobby is concentrating in finance, entrepreneurship and operations at the Tepper School. He hopes to pursue a career energy after completing his MBA, and will be interning at EQT this summer.



Matt Plunkett, VP of Power Generation and Sustainability

Originally from New Jersey, Matt received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2008 and interned at Porsche in Germany. He received his M.E. in Nuclear Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011, while working as a program director facilitating the exchange of naval nuclear propulsion technology between the U.S. and U.K. governments. At Tepper, he is focusing on operations and business analytics. He will be joining Air Products and Chemicals in their Career Development Program for his summer internship.



Ben Nolte, VP of Finance

Ben grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Texas Tech University with an Energy Commerce Degree in 2007. After interning at Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City, Ben pursued a law degree to enable him to analyze energy contracts. He graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2009 and worked as an Energy Consultant for major energy companies located in the Houston Area. Ben came to Tepper because he wanted to be part of a team making strategic decisions involving future business opportunities. As such, Ben will intern with Air Products and Chemicals and hopes to pursue in energy, post-graduation.
