You are invited to a special alumni reception and presentation on "Energy Freedom" by Red Cavaney, former Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, ConocoPhillips.
Red Cavaney will discuss the opportunity for the U.S. to achieve "energy freedom" by taking advantage of the abundant supplies of shale gas now made available through hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking." He will discuss the controversies involved and how he believes North America could become a net oil exporter after 2025 if shale increases the North American oil supply and reduces imports.
Tepper School and CMU alumni are encourged to attend. Register online. Attire is business casual.
Our appreciation to our alumni at ConocoPhillips for hosting the reception and providing our refreshments.
