Joachim Vosgerau

Joachim Vosgerau, Assistant Professor of Marketing; Co-Director of the Center for Behavioral Decision Research (CBDR) at the Tepper School of Business, earned his diploma in Psychology with emphasis on experimental social psychology and philosophy of science from University of Konstanz, Germany. At INSEAD, France, he was lab manager before earning his Ph.D. in Management. Since 2005 he is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, where he also holds a courtesy appointment at the Social and Decision Science Department. Together with Carey Morewedge (Assistant Professor of Social and Decision Sciences), he is co-director of Carnegie Mellon’s Center for Behavioral Decision Research (CBDR). His research interests are in the realm of consumer behavior, he is specifically interested in how experiences, imagination, and uncertainty influence judgment and decision making. He has published in Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Letters, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.
