AlphaLab helps companies rapidly develop their technology, gain user feedback from early product releases, develop go-to-market strategies, and move toward successful commercial launch.

Idea Foundry
Idea Foundry is a non-profit organization that supplies the critical ingredients for transforming an entrepreneur’s business idea into a Pennsylvania-based, fundable start-up. Idea Foundry bridges the gaps between business skills, knowledge, funding and relationships that are critical when launching an enterprise.

Innovation Works

Center for Women's Entrepreneurship - Chatham University
The mission of the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University is to educate, create economic opportunities, and foster entrepreneurial thinking for women entrepreneurs, women in business, and students. The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University (CWE) provides opportunities for women entrepreneurs in both new development and growth stages of their businesses to start, develop and significantly grow their companies by utilizing Chatham resources, programs, faculty expertise, and student assistance. CWE also provides programming targeted to local and regional women in business. This programming is designed to teach women in business how to think and act entrepreneurially by focusing on innovation and creativity within the context of an existing organizational environment. And finally, CWE offers specific programs for both undergraduate and graduate students which help them learn the skills needed to become either successful entrepreneurs or successful women in business.

Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence - University of Pittsburgh
The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business helps entrepreneurial business leaders harness the power of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge to increase profit margins, create jobs, diversify revenue streams, connect to emerging markets, and secure new research and development dollars. Innovation Practice Institute - University of Pittsburgh
The Innovation Practice Institute (IPI) is a first-of-its-kind collaboration among a law school, the practicing bar, and local innovators and entrepreneurs. The IPI re-imagines how the legal profession can advance regional economic development and puts that into practice with cutting edge research, new classroom models, hands-on mentoring of law students, and community engagement. The product will be a class of new lawyers who are uniquely positioned to participate in 21st century innovation.

Small Business Development Center - Duquesne University
The Duquesne University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers no-cost, confidential consulting services and training workshops for small businesses and those who are thinking of starting a business in southwestern Pennsylvania. Our main office is located at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. We also offer services in our outreach locations in Beaver, Butler and Lawrence, and Mon Valley.

Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh
Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh is the region's leading networking organization for entrepreneurs. It produces the only business event series in Pittsburgh focused on the interests of entrepreneurs from all industries. Previously known as the MIT Enterprise Forum of Pittsburgh, the Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh refocused its name and graphic identity to reflect its commitment to the Pittsburgh region. However, the Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh actively maintains its connection to the global MIT Enterprise Forum and its chapters around the world.

Pittsburgh Technology Council
Since 1983 the Pittsburgh Technology Council has been the principal point of connection for companies from four primary clusters (advanced manufacturing/materials, green technology, information technology and life sciences) of the southwestern Pennsylvania technology industry.

TiE-Pittsburgh is a not-for-profit network of entrepreneurs, corporate executives and senior professionals dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the Pittsburgh region. The Pittsburgh chapter was founded in 2000, and currently has 32 charter members at its core. Members of TiE-Pittsburgh have created over 10,000 jobs in the Pittsburgh region and have brought in over $600M in venture capital investment.
