MSCF Career Paths

Graduates from the MSCF program work exclusively in the financial services industry. Careers vary, but usually revolve around quantitative portfolio management, risk management, sales and trading, structured products, and financial analytics.

Some MSCF Graduates develop proprietary trading strategies for the hedge funds, while others build and assess risk management models for the banks and brokerage firms. One might manage a credit derivatives desk, while another trades volatility at one of the large banks, is involved in fixed income research, or is an options trader on the floor of the AMEX. While many remain in the New York area after graduation, and most in the United States, others take positions in London, Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo.
