Diversity at the Tepper School

Many students tell us that the deciding factor for them when choosing Tepper is its close-knit community. Our small size encourages students to step outside their comfort zone, and to gain awareness of various cultures and an appreciation for diversity. Certainly, this approach to shared learning increases your education in the classroom, but it also extends to opportunities outside of the classroom.

We encourage you to bring your passions forward, and to pursue extracurricular opportunities for learning, friendship, and networking.

• From professional to cultural, there is a Tepper Club and Organization for almost every interest, with new clubs forming each year.
• Additionally, our Graduate Business Association offers leadership opportunities and a way for students to contribute immediately to the success of the school through unprecedented access to school leaders.
• While at Tepper, you’ll have many opportunities to explore Pittsburgh and its surrounding area: From a round of golf at Schenley Park course (located just steps from the school’s front door) to a new musical at the Benedum Center, there is plenty to do and see.

The Consortium

The Tepper School of Business is a member of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), an alliance of 17 graduate business schools and corporate partners dedicated to providing management education opportunities to African American, Hispanic and Native American students and ultimately their entry into managerial positions in business. Candidates who apply to the Tepper School through the Consortium can complete for a fellowship that will cover tuition and fees for both years of the fulltime MBA program.
