PITTSBURGH -- Alumni of the Tepper School of Business will coalesce with current students, faculty and classmates during the 2012 Alumni Weekend: April 20-21. Receptions and programs will celebrate milestone reunions for graduates from class years ending in 2 and 7 (for example: 1992 or 2007), however, alumni from all graduating classes are welcome to attend.

The program, themed ”Back to Business”, will kick off on Friday, April 20, in the main lobby and courtyard of the Posner Hall/GSIA Building, which will follow pre-reunion student-alumni networking events scheduled during the afternoon.
Saturday’s lineup will feature a presentation by Dean Robert M. Dammon on the state of the school, a discussion and book signing by Allan Meltzer, The Allan H. Meltzer University Professor of Political Economy, for his new book titled “Why Capitalism?”, a preview of the Tepper School’s new MBA curriculum set to begin in the Fall of 2012 by Laurie Weingart, Carnegie Bosch Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory, and academic insights from faculty members Jay Apt, Professor of Technology; Executive Director of Carnegie Mellon Electricity Industry Center, John Hooker, T. Jerome Holleran Professor of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility and Professor of Operations Research, Peter Boatwright, Associate Professor of Marketing and Jeffrey Galak, Assistant Professor of Marketing.

The weekend will be capped by a reunion celebration at The Andy Warhol Museum from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday evening.
