Wind And Solar Electricity: Are They The Answer?

Thirty of the United States require that some percentage of their electric power come from sources defined as renewable. Some of these states require more than a quarter of their power be generated from wind or solar power, about ten times the current U.S. average. In a presentation to Tepper School Alumni during Reunion 2012, Professor Jay Apt commented on what this jump will require and if can we afford it.
