Sahaj Madhav, PresidentSahaj Madhav is the President of the BioPharma & Healthcare Club. Sahaj graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining the Tepper School, he worked at Frito-Lay/PepsiCo in various managerial roles which covered S&D, Packaging, and Processing at the Frito-Lay manufacturing plant in Bakersfield, California. Betsy Harchick, VP of Events & Alumni AffairsBetsy Harchick is the Vice President of Events, Alumni Affairs. She is also the Vice President of Finance for the Tepper Wine Club. Betsy completed a dual degree undergraduate program, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and bioengineering from Allegheny College and the University of Pittsburgh, respectively. Prior to Tepper, she worked as a biomedical research coordinator for a lab in the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, developing data analysis methods for MRI scans and managing research protocols. Kevin Gallagher, VP of FinanceKevin graduated from Boston College, where he majored in Biochemistry with a minor in Economics. After graduation, he went to work for Professor Guillermo Tearney at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. While there, Kevin contributed to clinical studies in cardiology, gastroenterology and pulmonology. Of particular interest, Kevin worked on a team that demonstrated first in human experience with tethered capsule microscopy; work which was published in Nature Medicine in January, 2013. Kevin came to Tepper in order to better understand the decisions underlying the commercialization of new technologies and drug formulations. Yiming Wang, VP of Intra-Campus RelationsYiming is pursuing a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Management, an interdisciplinary program between the Tepper School of Business, the Heinz College of Public Policy & Management, and the Mellon College of Sciences. She holds a B.S. in Biological Science from Nanjing Agricultural University. Prior to attending Carnegie Mellon, Yiming spent four years working in life science research and healthcare project management, most recently at Ohio State University and American Cancer Society. Currently, she is interning with Pittsburgh Life Science Greenhouse, working closely with biotech start-ups on their business development initiatives.
