Leaders aren’t born – they’re developed. The Carnegie Mellon Leadership and Negotiation Academy for Women is designed specifically to address the distinct challenges faced by today’s outstanding women, helping them to surpass both personal and organizational growth objectives.

Unlike others, the Academy is the first program of its kind to emphasize the crucial aspect of negotiation in developing top-notch female talent.

Through intense and focused sessions, participants will gain greater understanding and ability in not only effective negotiation, but also decision-making, motivation strategies, conflict-resolution and more.

Participants in the Carnegie Mellon Leadership and Negotiation Academy for Women will receive:

  • Individual leadership success strategies
  • Over 100 hours of instruction from renowned academic and industry experts
  • Six one on one coaching sessions

The Tepper School of Business Accelerate Leadership Center offers a premier leadership development experience. Its great strength is its focus on individual assessment, reflection, action and growth.





The Program for Research and Outreach on Gender Equity in Society (PROGRESS) was established by Dr. Linda Babcock in 2006 to improve society by teaching women and girls the art of negotiation.

Terms & Conditions

Fee: The program fee of $14,900 per person covers tuition, course materials, and most meals. Companies sending three or more participants, organizations with fewer than 500 employees, non-profits, alumni and the government sector receive a 10% discount.

Accommodation: Logistic details will be communicated to participants after registration. Cost of accommodation is not included in the program fee. Recommendations for local hotel options can be provided, however rooms reservations and transportation are the responsibility of the participant.

Cancellation policy: For cancellations received more than four weeks before the program, the program fee will be fully refunded, less a $300 administrative fee. For cancellations received 14 to 27 days before the program, a 35% refund will be provided. For cancellations received less than 14 days before the program, no refunds will be given. Feasible substitutions may be an option at the discretion of the Tepper School of Business.
