BS Business Administration & MBA 3/2 Program

Students in the program will take their normal Undergraduate Business requirements for their first 3 years. Students must fulfill all requirements for the BSBA degree, as the MBA will only be awarded if the BSBA degree requirements are fulfilled.  The BSBA degree will be awarded in May of a student's fourth year if all undergraduate coursework is completed at that time. Unit requirement for the MBA degree is 180 which includes the 12 units for Management Game which is needed to complete the undergraduate degree.

Deadline & Requirements

Carnegie Mellon undergraduates should apply via Tepper's online application system by January 31st of your junior year. Please take care to submit the following application materials:

  • Essays - 4 required, 1 optional
  • GMAT or GRE score (highest total score considered)
  • Resume and work history (detailing previous internships, as well as leadership and team positions on-campus and in the community)
  • Letters of Evaluation (2 required, 4 accepted - suggested recommenders are internship supervisors or those that may have supervised campus or community activities in which you participated)
  • Verification of academic eligibility by the BSBA Program Office (Tepper Masters Admissions will confirm)
  • Interview with MBA Admission Committee member (arranged by the Admissions office after you submit your application & all components)
  • Application fee waived for CMU applicants!

Eligibility:

Eligibility is based upon approval by the BSBA program office assuming you are in good academic standing and on track to complete your BSBA requirements on time.  In addition, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the end of the Fall of junior year and have completed at least 1 company internship prior to applying.
