The COC - Your Career Partner

The Career Opportunities Center (COC) partners with Tepper students and alumni to assist them in developing a career focus and to facilitate their effort to find employment opportunities that will help them achieve their long-term career goals. In thinking about the role of the COC, it might be a good analogy to think of the COC staff as teachers, counselors, and coaches. Our mission is to:

• Deliver services designed to help students and alumni to develop a career focus compatible with their own interests, values and skills
• Develop programs designed to help students and alumni create a personal marketing plan
• Provide an on and off-campus interview program to facilitate the efforts of currently enrolled students to secure meaningful employment, and for employers to secure the talent they need
• Provide opportunities for employers to communicate information about open positions to students and alumni

The COC staff is structured according to industry and key corporate contacts, so students are assured of career support that reflects a deep understanding of the industry MBA students are pursuing. For example, among the COC counselors are former Booz-Allen and Morgan Stanley executives who put their years of experience and connections to work for Tepper MBAs.
