Tepper School of Business alumnus Lewis Hay III, MSIA '82, will deliver keynote remarks to Ph.D., MBA and Masters of Science in Computational Finance graduates at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business Diploma Ceremony on Saturday, May 16. The event will begin with a processional at 2 p.m. in the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.
An active alumnus, Hay has served on the Tepper School Business Board of Advisors since 2002 and the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation Advisory Council since its inception.
In addition to his involvement at Carnegie Mellon and the Tepper School, Hay serves on the board of directors of Capital One Financial Corporation, Harris Corporation, and WellPoint, Inc.
He is also a former chairman and chief executive officer of NextEra Energy, Inc., where he is recognized for the innovative energy development and management strategies that he instituted during his time there.
Graduation events will take place from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17. Carnegie Mellon’s 118th Commencement will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 17 in Gesling Stadium on the university’s Pittsburgh campus. Emmy Award winner Alan Alda will deliver keynote remarks.
