BIOGRAPHY

Martin Gaynor's research is focused on the economics of health care markets and health care organizations. His research on health care markets concentrates on the restructuring of health care markets and implications for antitrust policy, vertical restraints in health care, the industrial organization of the physician services market, and the effects of information in markets for health services. His research on the economics of health care organizations is focused on the determinants of the internal organization of medical group practices and the effects of these arrangements on group performance, and the determinants of hospital behavior and the consequent implications for performance.
