The mission of the PNC Center for Financial Services Innovation is to stimulate the advancement of financial services through technological innovation.
Technologies like online banking, mobile devices and social media provide new, rich environments to learn about and influence consumer behavior. The PNC Center encourages research that can use these environments to improve consumer experiences of financial services and promote new technologies that can deliver these experiences to the consumer. The center serves a dual role to foster the creation of knowledge through research and to disseminate this knowledge through education.
The center was created through the financial support of PNC Bank in January 2013. The center is housed within the Tepper School of Business and draws upon expertise throughout the entire university to advance collaborative research in business, consumer behavior, computer science, engineering and public policy.
