As Carnegie Mellon University's primary campus location, Pittsburgh offers a broad, interdisciplinary student life experience at an elite academic institution.

Pittsburgh Campus

Situated at the confluence of three rivers and surrounded by rolling green, today's Pittsburgh surprises nearly every first-time visitor who takes in the amazing scenery. Carnegie Mellon’s Pittsburgh campus is located three miles east of the city-center in a neighborhood called Oakland, which is home to two major research universities, a world-renowned medical center, four college campuses and a top-rated collection of museums and performing arts venues.

No city in America has reinvented itself more completely while safeguarding its authentic identity than Pittsburgh. Old-world charm mixes easily with one of the nation's most renowned high-tech centers. Students enjoy nearby shops, restaurants, recreation and entertainment up and down more than thirty-five miles of urban waterfront. Two stunning new major league stadiums anchor riverfront entertainment that includes marinas, pubs, water parks and boardwalks.

Pittsburgh's greenspace and vast network of trails is the envy of cities twice its size. Our students also enjoy Schenley Park, which sits adjacent to campus and provides more than 450 acres of access to trails, woodlands, golf, swimming and ice skating.  A few yards from the front door of the business school, the park serves as a welcome complement to academic life.
