Study Abroad. Globalize Your Learning.

In today’s global marketplace, immersion in a different culture provides a powerful perspective that complements students skills and broadens their options.

Studying abroad provides students with not only more awareness of cultural literacies, but further enhancement of their education by providing them with the opportunity to compare and contrast different economies and regimes. With a bit of careful planning, study abroad can be worked into most any economics student's four-year schedule!

At the Tepper School, students have abundant opportunities to travel abroad and experience the way business is done in a variety of economies and cultures.

Why Study Abroad

  • Expand your network outside of the U.S.
  • Study business topics from a regional, non-U.S. perspective
  • Fulfill certain breadth requirements, such as Cultural Analysis or Political and Social Institutions
  • Fulfill certain minor requirements
  • Increase fluency in another language

Study abroad can be experienced in many locations and is limited only by students’ interests for exploration and challenge. Carnegie Mellon's Study Abroad Office and Office of International Education are dedicated to helping students explore and realize their opportunities abroad.
