Biography

David Porges has been with EQT Corporation for 19 years. He joined as chief financial officer and was elected to the EQT board of directors in 2002. In 2007, he was promoted to president and chief operating officer. He was elected chief executive officer in 2010, and chairman of the board in 2011. He will retire his CEO duties on March 1 of this year, at which time he will become executive chairman. Simultaneously, he will relinquish the CEO titles at EQT’s two sponsored MLPs, remaining as chairman of both.

Prior to joining EQT, Mr. Porges spent 11 years, primarily in New York, with Bankers Trust Corporation, where he was a managing director in M&A, structured finance and risk advisory. Prior to that, he spent seven years in various positions with ExxonMobil Corporation, first in Texas and then in Australia.

Mr. Porges holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. He serves on the board of the RAND Corporation, Carnegie Mellon University and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
