Manish Anand joined Barclays Capital after completing his MBA degree. He is a part of Specialized Trading and Middleware group at Barclays Capital and leverages his software engineering skills to develop and manage analytics for prime services, credit and rates trading desks. In the past, he has consulted for The Hartford to implement and enhance actuarial models for reinsurance business and to automate processes resulting in savings of $200,000 annually. He has coded for implementing investment management strategies of fixed income portfolios at GE Asset Management and has worked closely with Black Rock to implement its Aladdin trading platform at Genworth Financial. As a six sigma black belt, Manish has successfully completed several process improvements at Tata Consultancy Services. He has also passed level 1 of the CFA exam and has an undergrad degree in electronics and communications engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India. All his working experiences have culminated in a strong interest in world of quantitative finance and he joined the MSCF program to acquire the necessary skills in hope to pursue a career in quantitative trading or asset management upon graduation.
