Alex Chao graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has six years of experience working in the financial services industry. In his most recent role as an associate at Morgan Stanley, Alex has helped manage the firm’s equity trading data repository as well as a variety of business intelligence software which traders use for real time decision-making and post-trade analysis. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Alex was at Citigroup, where he built applications that calculated trading and brokerage fees for FX and equity options products. Alex joined the MSCF program to enhance his programming background with the critical computational skills necessary for a career in quantitative finance.
