David Hopkins graduated Honors Scholar, Cum Laude and received a Masters in Mathematics from Colorado State University. His thesis and graduate research assistantship was in machine learning, unsupervised and large data pattern recognition with applications in computer vision. For the past three years he worked as the Lead Data Scientist and Statistician at a healthcare data technology firm. There he worked with Hospital Chief Medical Officers and CFOs to understand their needs and create usable, data-driven solutions in the changing regulatory environment. The technical side of his work involved projects in time-series, evolutionary algorithms, and multivariate regression. Originally a finance major, David branched out to applied mathematics. He joined the MSCF program to connect his passion for markets with his quantitative education and experience. He is seeking a career in quantitative trading and asset management.
