Wenzhe Jiang graduated from the University of Waterloo in Canada with a master’s degree in applied mathematics. He received his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from China University of Petroleum, Beijing. In addition to the petroleum-engineering curriculum, Wenzhe ranked at the top of his class in all of his math courses. In his master’s thesis, Wenzhe developed and implemented a series of novel algorithms for constructing optimal tubular networks that occupy an arbitrary 3D region. He will soon publish two research papers in the European Journal of Operational Research and Applied Mathematics and Computation. Wenzhe joined the MSCF program to apply his skills in mathematics and programming to finance and break into the industry.
