Yangfan Mu received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the University of Virginia, where he served as a tutor in the fixed income and derivatives class. Through his rigorous study in finance and mathematics, Yangfan developed a genuine interest in the quantitative finance area. Moreover, he has always kept a close eye on the capital markets to gain insights into the world’s economy and to hone his market acumen. His internship experience at New Times Securities in Beijing enabled him to apply skills learnt from school and to get exposed to real-world practices. Yangfan joined the MSCF program to further polish his quantitative and analytical skills and he is seeking career opportunities in asset management, risk management and trading.
