John Piotrowski graduated from the University of Virginia in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History, and a minor in Mathematics. After graduation, he worked on fiscal policy analysis at the International Monetary Fund, provided strategy support to European banks as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and managed a mayoral campaign in the city of Los Angeles for the 2013 municipal cycle. He now works at Goldman Sachs on capital management, portfolio optimization, and strategy projects. John joined the MSCF program to combine his interests in macroeconomics, strategy, and finance together with some quantitative rigor. Upon graduation, John hopes to move into trading or asset management.
