Jiaying (Jessica) Shen graduated from Peking University with Bachelor of Arts in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. With 1st prize awards in the National Physics Olympiad, Mathematical Modeling Competition and experiences in quantitative finance research projects, Jiaying has gained solid training in programming, quantitative modeling, mathematics and statistics. Before joining the MSCF program, Jiaying further strengthened her programming and quantitative analytical skills at Aures Capital (a Singapore proprietary trading firm) working as a quantitative research analyst, where she derived three potential systematic FX trading algorithms, and back-tested and optimized trading strategies. She also interned at Vermilion Partners (a boutique investment bank), Roland Berger and Silicon Valley Bank, where she earned hands-on experience in financial modeling, equity research, and mergers and acquisitions. She is also a CFA Level II candidate. Upon graduation, Jiaying intends to pursue a career in trading, quantitative research or risk management.
