Yida Wang graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. During his undergraduate study, Yida analyzed gender wage gaps utilizing regression models and wrote his senior thesis on individual saving decisions when facing future uncertainty using a two-period fixed income model. To gain real-world experience, he interned at a utility management firm and improved the budget forecasting process. Yida joined the MSCF program to strength his knowledge in finance. He is interested in pursuing a career in trading or risk modeling.
