Beiming (Benjamin) Xu graduated with distinction from Peking University, Guanghua School of Management, with a Bachelor of Art in Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. As an undergraduate, Beiming worked on several research projects related to pure and empirical financial economics involving mathematical and statistical modeling. During his internship in the financial engineering department in Western China Future, he programmed to receive and arrange real time financial data. He also developed and back tested several interesting strategies based on time series, GARCH model and stochastic process in modeling volatility. He is very interested in combining his knowledge in financial economics, econometrics and statistics into financial research. He is also a candidate for CFA. Upone graduation, Beiming is seeking a position in statistical arbitrage and quant desk.
