Yanjue (Janice) Yan graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor's degree in law. In her junior year, Yanjue completed courses at Columbia University and Washington University in St. Louis, building a solid background in mathematics and statistics and a good understanding of economic theories. Her participation in a portfolio optimization project at Columbia University aroused her interest in quantitative finance. She interned at Dazhong Insurance Co., as a quantitative analyst, where she used VBA and macro to write embedded programs for reinsurance processing. Later, as an assistant analyst intern in the Financial Derivative Department of Orient Securities, she assisted in building and testing quantitative trading strategies and adjusted the models according to backtesting results. She also has passed CFA Level 1. By joining the MSCF program, Yanjue intends to further develop her quantitative skills to pursue a career in quantitative trading and asset management.
