Xianghan Yao earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Texas A&M University in 2014. He graduated from University of Science and Technology of China with a Bachelor of Science in Physics/Optical Information in 2010. His research interests in physics include theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum optics. He has published seven first-author academic papers, three of which are published on Physical Review Letters. Xianghan is very interested in applying quantitative methods to solve real-world problems. He joined the MSCF program to further expand his quantitative skills and knowledge of finance. Upon completion of the program, he is seeking a career in quantitative finance.
