Hang (April) Yin graduated from the University of Washington in 2015 with two degrees: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration - Finance. This unique combination of majors has given her a strong financial and technical background. April had several internships in college. In her junior year, she completed a six-month internship in the Amazon Kindle team, where she worked on cross-functional team projects, and built financial models, such as the P&L and the pricing model, to the finance team. In college, April built a credit evaluation model with 95% accuracy by applying her knowledge in machine learning. This experience largely increased her interests in using quantitative skills to solve financial problems. She joined the MSCF program to further improve her skills, and explore the impacts of mathematical models to the financial world. She deeply hopes to pursue a career in quantitative finance.
