Dake Zhang earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he double-majored in mathematics and economics, with a minor in computer science. During his undergraduate study, he received comprehensive training in Math, Statistics and Computer Science, including multiple Ph.D. courses in each discipline. Later, he applied his quantitative skills to several machine learning courses and research projects. To gain more exposure to the financial market, he had two investment/asset management internships at Guolian Securities Co. LTD and Zolio Inc., where he gained experience in fundamental and quantitative equity research, as well as formulating his own trading strategies. He joined the MSCF program to further mingle his quantitative skills into the environment of quantitative finance, and seeks a career in trading or quantitative research.
