Wen Zhang graduated cum laude from New York University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics. During his undergraduate studies in NYC, Wen became fascinated by the legendary stories of Wall Street. He gradually developed his passion in quantitative finance as he took a wide range of math, finance and programming courses. Wen’s career goal motivated him to join the MSCF program, through which the trainings would help him hone the necessary skillsets needed for quantitative finance. During his internship at Allianz Global Investors, Wen worked closely with the product management team and was actively involved in both the retail side and the institutional side of the asset management business. He successfully leveraged his programming and quantitative skills to construct a rolling returns analysis report and a risk statistics report, which helped illustrate the performance of Allianz strategies compared to their benchmarks and peer universes. Wen also interned at CITIC Securities, where he devoted himself to the industrial research and equity research for the defense sector of the research team. Wen is pursuing a career in portfolio management, risk management, or trading.
