Zixu Zhang received his PhD in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. He graduated from Nanjing University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 2006. During his PhD study, he researched in theoretical condensed matter physics and ultracold quantum systems, and published four academic papers on Physical Review Letters and Physical Review A. Afterwards, Zixu worked as an investment banking analyst in Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities in Beijing from 2012 to 2015 and participated as a core team member in several IPO, M&A, and bond issuing deals. Zixu joined the MSCF program to further combine his physics and finance background with quantitative and programming skills. Upon the completion of the program, he is seeking a career in quantitative finance. Zixu passed Level II of the CFA Program in 2015.
