Calvin Zhu graduated magna cum laude from New York University, with an honors degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science and business studies. He was always fascinated with the markets, and sought to apply his quantitative strengths toward the field of mathematical finance. His career objective motivated him to pursue an MSCF degree, through which the disciplines of economics, finance, statistics and programming could complement his mathematical background. Calvin interned with the Operations & Finance department at CAIS Group, a platform connecting small investors to funds and other financial products. His work included automating many of the operations processes, and acting as a liaison between the operations and technology teams regarding functionalities that the system could support. Calvin is pursuing a career in trading, statistical arbitrage, or risk management.
