Honors Reception held for Class of 2009:
Friends, families and Tepper students graduating with honors gathered on May 16 to celebrate their success. Fifty-six students -- nearly half of the 2009 class -- graduated with one or more honors: University Honors, College Honors, Andrew Carnegie Scholars, Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Kappa Phi. First Day of Classes:
August 24:The Fall, 2009 semester starts on Monday, August 24. The freshman class will be composed of 89 students from seven countries outside the U.S.
Tepper Students Study Abroad This Summer:
Taking advantage of the summer months for study overseas are: Valerie Jordan and Luke Droulez, at the Otto Beisheim School of Management at WHU in Germany; Nakul Bagla, Lu Xie, Tian Wu, and Kathryn Fowler at the London School of Economics in England; and Stephan Chan at Shanghai International Studies University in China.
Two Tepper Students Win Tartan Abroad Scholarship:
Stephan Chan and Tian Wu are recipients of the Tartan Abroad Scholarship, which is awarded to students based on the quality of their proposal, a recommendation letter, and commitment to sharing their experience with the university community upon return.
