Moneythink is a growing national movement whose goal is to empower urban youth through financial literacy. We are the only movement in the nation that involves young people working to restore the economic health of the United States this way. Our college mentors go into urban high school classrooms once a week to teach a hour-long relevant lesson (i.e. What to consider when getting a credit card, budgeting, or entrepreneurship). To find out more about the national movement, visit www.moneythink.org!
CMU student mentors contribute to the region and to provide pre-college students with knowledge and tools that are not readily available to them.
We need you to be a mentor. Our mentors are the backbone of our organization. Mentors form meaningful, lasting relationships with their students. They make a tangible impact as they help the students understand key financial concepts using innovative techniques and relatable examples. By being there for the students every class, mentors instill a belief in each student that they are capable and worthy, as well as giving them the tools with which to build their own future. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
