Board Member Bios


William Lutz, President

William Lutz is the President of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club. Additionally, he serves on the Net Impact, Military Veterans' Association, and Endurance Club boards. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a B.S. in Economics and commissioned in the United States Navy. He spent five years serving in the Nuclear Submarine Force, spending over three and a half years on the USS Miami. In early 2013, William left Active Duty as a Lieutenant and entered the Navy Reserves. While at Tepper, William is developing a social discovery startup called SitWith. With his SitWith co-founder William earned a 2013 Spark Grant through Carnegie Mellon's on campus incubator: Project Olympus. He is focused on social development through innovation and high tech.



Arjun Gopalratnam, VP of Marketing

Arjun is a first year MBA concentrating in Entrepreneurship. He is a member of the Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellows, is the president of the Endurance Club, and assists with the Organizational Leadership Club. Arjun will be working for a startup in Mountain View this summer, and intends to start companies to commercialize technologies after he graduates.



Cassy Cortez, Vice President

Cassy Cortez is the Executive Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club.  She also serves on the board for the Black Business Association as the Vice President of the club.  Cassy graduated from Harvey Mudd College with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering.  Prior to Tepper, she worked as a product development scientist for various medical device startups.  She is pursuing the Entrepreneurship Track at Tepper along with a concentration in Marketing.  Cassy is a Bikram Yoga enthusiast, a fan of fusion world cuisines, and an avid concert-goer.



Ankita Pandey, VP of Treks

Ankita is Forte Foundation Fellow at Tepper, specializing in marketing and entrepreneurship. She is passionate about the transformational effect of technology on markets and how startups disrupt the status quo. She actively works with and follows several startups to gain a better understanding of technology enabled business models. Most recently, she is working with Stylist & You, a fashion centric platform for stylists. She was also a member of the Spacefinity team that won at Startup Weekend PGH and was later incubated at Alphalabs. Ankita also serves on the board for the South Asian Business Association as the Vice President of Marketing. Ankita has a graduate degree in Computer science engineering and has more than seven years of experience in leading large technology teams at Infosys.




James Marschner, VP of Operations

James spent 7 years in technology consulting roles for PwC and Booz Allen Hamilton before attending the Tepper School of Business.  He is pursuing opportunities in automotive and technology industries, while focusing on cross functional roles that mix finance with an understanding of the operations and core technology of a business.



Michael Zhong

Michael Zhong is a human specimen. He intelligent, caring, optimistic, and has a smooth J on the court. Michael believes in aiming for the stars, and at least landing on the moon. He is by far the nicest person in the world, and his mentoring of your startup will easily result in a 10 figure valuation. Michael is currently also the co-Founder of vChoose, a food sharing platform for people of dietary restrictions, solving a great societal need while turning down insulting incubator offers. Michael will trade EVC budget (and the budget of 2 other clubs!) for favors. You want Michael to want to be your friend.



Zachary Bush, VP of Treks

Zack is the Vice President of Treks for the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club. He also serves on the board for the FlexTime Graduate Business Association as the Marketing Executive. Zack graduated from Pennsylvania State University as a Schreyer Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to Tepper, he began working at GE Transportation, developing embedded software for locomotive controls systems. Now, Zack founded Tailored Fit, a clothing recommendation and customer behavior analytics platform. He plans to pursue concentrations in entrepreneurship, strategy, and quantitative analysis. In his free time, he enjoys traveling all over the world, exploring, and enjoying new experiences.




Kevin Manley, VP of Career Development

Kevin Manley is the Vice President of Career Development in the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club.  He also serves on the board of the Military Veterans Association and the Brewmeister Club.  After graduating from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Kevin served as an Infantry Officer in the Marine Corps and then as an Engineer with Stryker Communications.  Kevin is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at Tepper.



Charles Nelatury, VP Technology

Charles is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. He went to Pennsylvania State University where he studied Computer Engineering and Business Management. He worked briefly at Cisco as a software engineer. Charles eventually wants to start a business in either tech or finance. He is pursuing an MBA with the Technology leadership track and concentrations in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy.
