Net Impact National Conference

October 24-26, 2013. San Jose, CA

The Net Impact National Conference is a convening of business leaders and students from across the country around issues of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and CSR. The two-day event includes a career fair, workshops, and a host of networking events. Contact Sophie Eustis at seustis@tepper.cmu.edu for more information.

Corporate speakers and roundtable discussions

Eva Tansky Blum, SVP PNC Bank, Chairwoman and President of The PNC Foundation
Ms. Blum works with PNC’s businesses and regional presidents in establishing the strategy to position PNC as a leader in the community. She directs the company’s philanthropic programs, including PNC Grow Up Great, a ten-year, $100 million program to support quality early childhood education.

Eva discussed how the foundation and for profit worlds work together in Pittsburgh.

George Shelton, Senior Vice President, Reputation Management and Corporate Practices, Hill+Knowlton Strategies
George leads both the reputation management and corporate practices for Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ U.S. region. He utilizes his experience in campaign management, reputation development, issues management and political communication to advance H+K’s business objectives.

Prior to joining H+K, George served as senior director for Insights, Advocacy and Outreach for Walmart Stores, Inc. where he oversaw projects related to reputation and issues management, political engagement, grassroots advocacy and message development.
