Board Member Bios


Sang Lee, President

Sang Lee is President of the Organizational Leadership Club. He is passionate about leadership and believes it should be everyone's core competency. He believes that everyone has the opportunity to exercise leadership daily -- either in one's personal or professional life. Sang is a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to Tepper, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years, which included multiple deployments to the middle east. Sang is currently passionately pursuing education technology in hopes of leading a change in the world by making high quality education more accessible to everyone.


Adrian Galarza, Vice President of Mentorship

Adrian Galarza is the Vice President of Mentorship for the Organizational Leadership Club. He comes to Tepper after 4 years overseas where he worked in multiple security management roles for diplomatic and foreign aid organizations. Prior to his overseas work, Adrian worked in the high-tech sector with a focus on server administration and network security. Adrian also served in the US Army as a Logistics Manager with postings in the U.S. and South Korea. Adrian is an avid traveler and has visited 30 countries on five continents. At Tepper, he is pursuing concentrations in Strategy, Operations, and International Business.


Ryan Sutton, Vice President of Education

Ryan Sutton is the Vice President of Education for the Organizational Leadership Club. He also serves as the Executive VP for the Consulting Club and the Executive VP for the Tepper Sports Fanalytics Club. Ryan grew up in the Boston area and attended Johns Hopkins University. He graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Civil Engineering. Prior to the Tepper School, he worked as a structural engineer at Odeh Engineers, a structural engineering firm in North Providence, Rhode Island. Ryan is a registered professional engineer and is pursuing a career change into consulting. He is concentrating in Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and Operations Management.


Ramya Laxman, Vice President of Strategy and Finance

Ramya Laxman is the Vice President of Strategy and Finance for the Organizational Leadership Club. She also serves on the board for the Marketing Club as Vice President of Career Development. Ramya graduated from BITS Pilani, a top school in India, with a degree in Information Systems. She then worked for HP Labs, Dell, Yahoo, and an Oil and Gas company in Houston, before joining Tepper. At Tepper, Ramya is pursuing a career in Brand Management. She is concentrating in Marketing, Organizational Behavior and International Business. She will be doing her internship at Heinz this summer and is looking forward to it.


Kristen Ballweg, Vice President of Internal Development

Kristen Ballweg is the Vice President of Internal Development. Kristen is originally from Wisconsin where she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Political Science and International Studies. Prior to attending the Tepper School of Business, Kris worked for several major trade associations in Washington, D.C. as a lobbyist. At Tepper, Kris is concentrating on Operations Management, Finance and Organizational Behavior. This summer, she will be interning in John Deere's Strategic Management Program. She will be completing her internship in Operations Leadership with a focus on change management.


Tim Altman, Vice President of Community Leadership

Tim Altman is the Vice President of Community Leadership for the Organizational Leadership Club. Tim grew up in the Boston area and graduated with a degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley. After a brief stint as an audio engineer in the music business, Tim relocated to New York and began working in television advertising post-production as a sound designer and composer. His clients included various ad agencies, film studios and broadcast networks such as Viacom, NBC, HBO, A&E and Disney. Tim's role in post-production was both creative and technical and eventually grew to managing and producing content for broadcast television, feature film and the web. In his spare time, Tim is a musician, composer, triathlete, soccer player, and photographer.
