City High Case Competition

Mini 4

The City High Case Competition is an annual event where we host a case competition for local high school students from City Charter High School. The students will be developing a solution for a business opportunity and are mentored throughout this process by student volunteers from Tepper. They will then present their solution to a panel of judges comprised of distinguished Tepper faculty. The Tepper community hopes to give the students a taste of business and foster an interest in higher education amongst them through this daylong event.

Habitat for Humanity Weekend

Pittsburgh’s Habitat Chapter owns and operates a large store that sells donated household goods and construction equipment. Website: They take volunteers for half or full days (9:30-4:00) on Tuesdays-Saturdays. The work is usually a lot of physical labor such as moving heavy objects around the store, plus some customer interaction for those who do not want to do the physical labor. It is located about 20 minutes from campus. Tepper Cares actively participates in the Habitat for Humanity Program and volunteers have help in construction and painting of the houses.
