In 2009, CBI established the Carnegie Bosch Institute Scholars Program for Excellence in International Leadership. Each year, one or two outstanding MBA students receive a $5,000 academic scholarship.
Consistent with the Carnegie Bosch Institute’s mission of supporting, developing, and educating globally-minded business leaders, the purpose of the scholarship is to:
The award is given at the end of the academic year to a returning 1st year full-time or 2nd year part-time MBA student who is recognized as an outstanding student in organizational behavior (OB) and communications based on performance in core and elective OB courses.
A committee comprising Tepper School of Business faculty and CBI President Sylvia Vogt makes the final selection. The 2012 committee included Professors Pierce, Weingart, and Woolley.
Notification and Recognition
Recipients of the Carnegie Bosch Institute Scholarship for Excellence in International Leadership will be notified by June 30. They will be recognized as the Carnegie Bosch Institute Scholars and presented with a certificate at Tepper's Fall Welcome Dinner held in September of each year. Their name will also appear on the Carnegie Bosch Institute perpetual plaque in Room 109 of Posner Hall.
