Our goal is to make known the accomplishments and reputation of the Tepper School and its faculty, staff and students. We rotate stories regularly on the landing page of the Tepper School website and frequently send out formal press releases to the media as well. The Marketing and Communications Department develops a general communications calendar at the beginning of each semester and refines this in rolling, six-week increments. Whether published on the website, in Tepper Magazine or in another forum, many stories are planned at least a month in advance. The Marketing & Communications Department is also the contact for listing faculty awards and honors in Carnegie Mellon University’s 8 ½ x 11 News.
Faculty: when a paper or other work has been accepted, or you are to receive an award or other recognition, or if you are, for example, testifying on an important topic in Washington or Harrisburg, please notify Mark Burd, Director of Public Relations, at (412) 268-3486 as soon as possible.
Students: If you win a case competition, have a paper accepted, or receive an award or other recognition, please notify Mark Burd, Director of Public Relations, at (412) 268-3486 as soon as possible. If your team wins a case competition on, for example, a Saturday, notify Mark by the end of the weekend, including the name of the competition, its sponsors, the competition question and a sentence or two about your winning strategy, what prize if any you won, and the full names of all your team mates.
